EA messed up this week on their online store this week when product pages for Crysis 3 appeared for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC platforms.
The product page displayed an image of the iconic Nanosuit from the previous Crysis games, though this time equipped with a modern bow-and-arrow get-up – behind the character was a cityscape, suggesting that the game will return to a setting similar to Crysis 2 instead of moving back to the jungles of the original crysis.
The company had previously stated that a new AAA title would be announced on 16th April, however this slip up has made it obvious as to what that announcement will be for. In a statement they issued, it was said that:
“The best kept secret in shooters just can’t be contained… Stay tuned for more information on April 16.”
After the 3 million copies Crysis 2 sold in 2011, it’s unsurprising that this game was being made. I’m sure many will be expecting more improved graphics in this installment, much like Crysis 2.
