It seems there is a new deal that Microsoft is trying to sell on the market at two major retailers: Game stop and Best-Buy. Buyers receive an Xbox 360 as well as a Kinect for $99. What’s the catch? Well, when you decide to purchase the Xbox, you must sign a two year agreement to pay for Xbox Live, which at first doesn’t sound so bad, BUT Microsoft is charging the monthly fee of $14.99 rather than doing the yearlong deal that would be about $60 for the entire year. Under the terms they have given you, the total cost after adding in the two year agreement would be somewhere in the realm of $450 before taxes. A deal? …not so much.
